On the 15th of January 2023, we held the 25th anniversary of the St Albans Lunar New Year Festival, and it was a huge success! With over 80,000 attendees, our event provided the perfect opportunity for friends and family to come together and enjoy a day filled with Live Entertainment, Street Food, Rides, Face Painting, Roaming Entertainment, and the highly anticipated Fireworks Display. The beautiful weather only added to the excitement and joy of the day.
The festivities started with an impressive Lion and Dragon Dance Performance, followed by Traditional Vietnamese Dances. Local MP Natalie Suleyman and other distinguished guests gave speeches, highlighting the importance of cultural events like Lunar New Year in bringing communities together.
The event provided a platform for local vendors to showcase their products and services, with a range of Street Food Stalls offering an array of culinary delights, from traditional Asian cuisine to modern fusion dishes. The Rides and Games were a hit with both children and adults alike, while the Face Painting and Roaming Entertainment added to the festive atmosphere.
However, the highlight of the event was undoubtedly the stunning Fireworks Display, which marked the end of the day's festivities. It was the largest fireworks display ever seen in St Albans, and it was truly mesmerising, leaving attendees in awe.
