On March 8th, people all over the world celebrated International Women's Day, a day dedicated to recognising the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Thanks to the Enjoy Local Activation Program we were able to celebrate this important day in a unique and meaningful way.
Throughout the day, visitors, shoppers, and workers in the St Albans Town Centre were surprised and delighted to receive beautiful flowers from local community representatives. These flowers were purchased from 3 Bears Florist, a woman-owned local supplier, and funded by Brimbank City Council's Enjoy Local Activation Program.
The flower distribution took place between 2pm and 4pm, and was a wonderful opportunity for members of the community to come together and celebrate the accomplishments of women. It was heartwarming to see people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds coming together to honour and uplift women in their community.
The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the support of the Enjoy Local Activation Fund, which provided the necessary resources to make it happen. We are grateful for their commitment to supporting local businesses and initiatives that bring our community together.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our community representatives who worked tirelessly to distribute the flowers. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in making this initiative a success.
Overall, the International Women's Day flower distribution in St Albans was a beautiful reminder of the strength and resilience of women, and a testament to the power of community. We look forward to future opportunities to celebrate the rich diversity of our community and the accomplishments of women everywhere.
